Cycle Counting from Devices

To begin a count, tap the Cycle Count icon on the Main Menu. A list of bin locations will appear. These are the locations that need to be counted.

  1. Tap to select a bin from the list.
  2. A list of items and license plates in the chosen bin will appear.
  3. Select an item in the list. You can also choose a license plate to see what items are on it, then choose an item.
  4. if applicable, lot number/serial/expiration date must be collected by manual entry or barcode scanning.

Tap the arrow button to count the item.

  1. Enter the quantity of the item you counted.
  2. If applicable, change the UOM
  3. Review the information, and if it is all correct, Tap the OK buttonimage name
  4. You should see the word “Completed” next to the arrow, on the right of the Item name and also to the right of the Bin name on the main Cycle Count page.
  5. Repeat steps above for every item in the item list.
  6. Repeat steps above for every bin in the original bin list.

NOTE: If the row is returned with a completed status and grayed out, the user will still be able to select or scan a completed row to further add to the count or modify existing count numbers.

Advanced Functionality

Printing a Product Label

  1. Choose the bin the product is located in.
  2. Highlight the item by tapping it from the list.
  3. Tap the Options button then choose “Print Labels”
  4. Select the printer, range, number of copies and either “ON” or “OFF” for double sided copies.
  5. Then select Print.

Zero Counting

If an item has no quantity, and needs to be counted, there are two ways to Zero Count the item. One way is via the process defined in the Basic Functionality section, by just entering “0” as the quantity counted after scanning the item. The other is explained below.

  1. Select the item that is to be zero counted by first selecting the correct Bin and then highlight the item.
  2. Tap the Options button then choose “Zero Count”
  3. A confirmation dialogue will appear. Tap Yes to zero count the item, or tap No to cancel.
  4. The item will be marked “Completed”

Cycle Count Adjustment

If there is a physical item in the location, but the system doesn’t have it listed, choose this option to add that item to the current location. Just fill out the form to add the item to the count.

Changing Quantity

Depending on whether the new quantity is lower or higher, there are different processes. See Adding to a Count below for the process of changing the quantity to a quantity larger than the original quantity. For instructions on changing the quantity to a lower amount, see the Subtracting From a Count section below.

Adding to a Count

  1. To add quantity to an already counted item, first choose the bin from the bin list.
  2. Select the item that needs to have the count increased
  3. Enter the quantity to be added, not the new total quantity.
  4. The appended quantity should appear in the Changed Count field under Qty.
  5. Review the information, and if it is all correct, Tap the OK button

Subtracting from a Count

  1. To subtract quantity from an already counted item, first choose the bin the item is located in from the bin list.
  2. In order to have a lower quantity, the item first needs to be Zero Counted. Follow the instructions for Zero Counting above, then continue to step 3.
  3. At this point, the item should have a counted quantity of “0 EA.” Select the item again and enter the new total quantity, not the difference. The appended quantity should appear in the Changed Count field under Qty.
  4. Review the information, and if it is all correct, Tap the OK button
